Last year I
purchased a 40-acre tree farm near Edgefield, SC. The home has a
3-acre yard that requires finished mowing. In addition, I have the
need to mow about 12 more acres. Initially, I decided that a nice
sized tractor with a bush-hog would do the job. My previous home
had a 1-acre yard that had severe slopes and my lawn tractor proved
inadequate for the job. |
I purchased a 54-inch
mid-mount zero turn Grasshopper mower from Power link in Augusta, GA.
It was an awesome machine and not only made the task of mowing the slopes
easier, it cut my time by well over 75%.
It didn’t take long for me to realize that my
primary task on the tree farm was mowing. The Grasshopper mid-mount
did a wonderful job for the yard but I struggled mowing under low hanging
limbs from Sawtooth Oaks that lined my driveway. It was difficult to
operate my tractor and bush-hog with the tight maneuvers that were required
to work around planted oaks and frequent turns. The finish job also
left much to be desired for aesthetics. I love to mow, but I also want
the leisure of playing golf and I found no time left to do this.
If I wanted to not spend my life in the seat of a tractor,
something had to be changed. My choice was to either purchase a finish
mower or go to a larger zero turn mower. I had owned my mid-mount Grasshopper
for well over 3 years and it operated flawlessly and also left a beautiful
lawn while using mulching blades and NO bags. Power Link Outdoor Equipment
in Augusta had, in my opinion, defined what customer service should
be so I returned to them to discuss my needs. I needed a machine that
was maneuverable, reliable, well built and FAST. Let me tell you that
if you want a serious mowing machine you will not be disappointed with
the Grasshopper. I traded my mid-mount for a Grasshopper 28 HP Kubota
Diesel Powered 72-inch cut, front mount mower. It will run circles around
the tractor and bush-hog and leaves a beautifully finished appearance.
My tractor and bush-hog now sit idle when it comes to mowing.
I also use mulching blades with the 928D2 so the hassle
of bagging is a thing of the past. This is a very serious well-built
machine. The Kubota diesel engine will effortlessly power you through
tall grass and leave a nice finished look. I can honestly say that the
reliability and performance of Grasshopper is unsurpassed by any thing
on the market.
If you are serious about mowing grass or require other
outdoor products I highly recommend Grasshopper and Power Link Equipment
in Augusta as your source. You wont be disappointed.

Subject: Grasshopper Performance
Dennis,
I wanted to tell
you how impressed we are with the performance of the Grasshopper 723/61
mower. Just as you promised, it easily handles my 4 acre fenced pasture
and my 2 acres of lawn. There is no question the pasture looks better
than any bush hog or undermount mower on a tractor could deliver. The
Grasshopper also handles uneven ground better than I expected. If the
primary need is cutting a lot of grass, the Grasshopper is up to the
task. We believe we made the right choice in mower from the right dealer!
Sincerely,
Ron and Pam Simpson
